Therapeutic approach

Therapeutic Approach

We prioritize creating a safe and warm connection with the client to smoothly transition to exploring complex thoughts, emotions, and memories. However, we always clarify that therapy is not a magic pill and the therapist is not a magician. Contrary, therapy needs time and effort by both sides to work.

Individual Therapy Sessions for Adults

Individual therapy offers a safe and supportive space to better understand yourself, your emotions, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we can explore difficulties such as anxiety, stress, burnout, perfectionism, low self-esteem, people-pleasing, relationship difficulties, boundaries, grief, trauma, or major life transitions. Therapy is tailored to your needs and draws primarily from evidence-based approaches such as CBT and Schema Therapy, with elements of ACT and DBT when appropriate.

Free 15-minute introduction call

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it is completely natural to have questions before making a decision. The free 15-minute consultation call gives you the opportunity to briefly share what brings you to therapy, ask any initial questions, and learn more about how we work. It is also a chance to see whether you feel comfortable with us and whether our approach matches what you’re looking for. There is no obligation to book a session.

Yasemi’s women empowerment groups create a supportive space for women to explore confidence, assertiveness, boundaries, self-worth, and the patterns that can make it difficult to express and prioritise their own needs. Through psychoeducation, reflection, practical exercises, and group discussion, participants can develop a better understanding of what holds them back and practise new ways of communicating and relating to others. Each group is designed around a specific theme and combines psychological knowledge with practical tools that can be applied in everyday life.

Yasemi webinars explore psychological topics in an accessible, practical, and engaging way. From stress and burnout to relationships, boundaries, self-esteem, and emotional wellbeing, each webinar combines psychological knowledge with practical tools and opportunities for reflection. Webinars are designed for people who want to understand themselves better and learn useful strategies without committing to individual therapy. These webinars are regularly offered by Yasemi, but can also can be offered to any professional or non-professional team on demand. Feel free to contact us. Remember, psychoeducation is not therapy, but it can be a valuable first step towards greater self-awareness and wellbeing.

Individual Therapy Sessions for Teenagers & Children

Children and teenagers may experience difficulties that they don’t yet have the words or tools to understand or communicate. Therapy provides a safe, age-appropriate space where they can express themselves, develop emotional awareness, build coping skills, and better navigate challenges at home, school, and in their relationships. Sessions are adapted to each young person’s developmental stage and individual needs, while collaboration with parents or caregivers is included when appropriate.

Counselling Perinatal & Parental

Pregnancy, becoming a parent, and raising a child can bring profound changes—not only practically, but also emotionally and relationally. Perinatal and parental counselling offers a supportive, non-judgmental space to navigate anxiety, overwhelm, identity changes, relationship difficulties, parental guilt, adjustment to parenthood, and the many expectations that can come with parenting. The aim is not to become a “perfect” parent, but to feel more supported, connected, and confident in your own experience.
